Transitive verb = is any verb that redirects its action onto an object.
eg Lions eat. the verb eat is not transitive because it has no object
Lions eat prey. the verb eat is trnasitive because it has an object - prey
A direct object is a noun or pronoun that receives the action of a verb or shows the result of the action. It answers the question "What?" or "Whom?" after an action verb. An action verb with a direct object is called a transitive verb.
To conjugate a verb means, to list the different forms of a verb. For example, take the Simple Present verb "see":
I see
you see
she sees
he sees
it sees
we see
you see
they see
The Simple Present verb 'see' has two forms: see and sees.
The infinitive is the verb in its basic form
The indicative is used for factual statements and positive beliefs, for example, "Paul is eating an apple." or "John eats apples.
